Employee Appreciation Comes In Different Forms

It is a common belief that an organization’s value of an employee is based by what the employee’s salary represents.  “If that’s the most they’re willing to pay me,” expressed one employee we spoke with, working for an insurance broker in California, “then I’m clearly not worth their time” she continued.  However, after speaking with other colleagues of this employee, and asking questions about the industry in particular, it seems the statement may not surround what the company is “willing” to pay, rather than what they are able to pay.
